Introducing Some Good Reasons To Join

Introduction

It may be that you have just recently qualified in Homeopathy and now you stand on the brink of a new and exciting professional career. It is at this crucial stage when you will need all the help you can get from a professional organisation.

If you are looking for membership with a well-established and well respected registering body, then you can do no better than to consider joining the Homeopathic Medical Association (U.K.). The HMA, a non profit making organisation, has a democratically elected council, a strict Code of Ethics and Practice and expects high standards. In return, it also offers successful candidates the opportunity to belong to an Association which actively cares for its Members and promotes Homeopathy for the good of all.

Here are just a few good reasons to join the HMA

Peace of Mind

You can rest at ease, safe in the knowledge that by joining the HMA you will gain membership of one of the longest standing and most eminent professional homeopathic associations in existence.

Since it’s inception in 1985, the HMA has gone from strength to strength. It has increased in size and grown to international status, boasting membership of several hundreds of Full and Associate members throughout the UK and abroad including Europe, India, Japan, Canada and the Middle East.

Protection

As a newly qualified Homeopath the HMA will ensure that you are amply covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance. At a very reasonable and cost effective fee, cover will be arranged on your behalf and renewable on an annual basis, thereby providing both you and your patients with a strong sense of confidence, security and protection.

Promotion

Nowadays, self promotion can be a costly business but membership of the HMA brings you added benefits. It accords you the right of inclusion in our Register of Qualified Homeopaths. This annual publication is circulated to members, libraries, clinics and other interested parties and is available to the general public on request.

HMA membership also affords you the opportunity for inclusion in corporate advertising at discount prices in the Yellow pages/Thompson directories and other widely circulated magazines of interest. Internet representation means that your details will be automatically listed on our website, unless you say otherwise.

You will also receive a Certificate of Membership to display in your surgery or place of work.

Value for Money

As well as the insurance indemnity cover, and as a privilege of membership, you will be entitled to use the letters M.H.M.A. after your name. You will also be sent the Homeopathy International magazine, as well as being kept up to date with details of the annual Homeopathic Congress, seminars, lectures, social functions, plus homeopathic products, stationery etc – offered at special membership discount prices.

Help and Support

A homeopathic legal help line is available for advice and assistance to all our members. For general membership queries, you can contact the HMA office direct.

Safe guarding the future

The HMA is constantly working towards increasing the promotion of Homeopathy in society and looking after its members’ interests for the future. The HMA plays an active role in CORH, the Council of Organisations Registering Homeopaths, working towards a single register. It also has strong links with other sympathetic bodies such as CCAM and has participated in the ECCH, the European Council of Classical Homeopathy.

Every year it is involved in Homeopathy Awareness Week (HAW) and is recognised by health insurance companies such as HSA and others.
