Professor Ernst tries to Silence Prince Charles with new Book

In 2005 Prince Charles commissioned a report on CAM from economist Christopher Smallwood, when he tried to get natural health therapies into the NHS.  The report was very favourable and said this would be cost effective.  Professor Ernst had been asked to look at the draft report while it was being compiled but he leaked it before it was completed.  Prince Charles's office then complained to Exeter University, where Ernst was Professor of Complementary Medicine.  The result of the complaint was that Prof. Ernst claims he was dismissed from his job and he has now written a book, 'A Scientist in Wonderland' about what he says happened.

Charles study backs NHS therapies

Complementary therapies should be given a greater role in the NHS, a report commissioned by the Prince of Wales has said.

Paddy Haverson, the Prince's communications secretary, said: "It is entirely inappropriate for anyone to be commenting on the report when it has not even been completed, let alone published."

He said the Prince had asked Mr Smallwood to conduct the analysis because he was independent of the Prince's Foundation for Integrated Health, which promotes alternative medicine therapies.

This month, the Patients Association has called for all GPs to provide patients with the choice of using complementary medicine where it had been proven to work.

Homoeopathy's benefit questioned

26 August 2005

A leading medical journal has made a damning attack on homoeopathy, saying it is no better than dummy drugs.

The Lancet says the time for more studies is over and doctors should be bold and honest with patients about homoeopathy's "lack of benefit".

American Medical College of Homeopathy Closing in February

Editorial by Alan V. Schmukler
Homeopathy 4 Everyone, January 2015
I received a brief letter today from Dr. Todd Rowe, founder of the American Medical College of Homeopathy (AMCH) in Arizona (U.S.). It stated that, because of financial difficulties the college is closing in February.  I despaired at learning this, because AMCH was the only  homeopathic medical college in the U.S. The last homeopathic college before that was Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, which stopped teaching homeopathy in 1955.  To get AMCH started had taken a lot of hard work and a great deal of inspiration from many people. Today, we salute everyone who worked so hard to create it.
Of course, Homeopathy will continue in the U.S. There are many talented homeopaths and other excellent schools, but a medical school was important.  It was a way of institutionalizing homeopathy, giving it legitimacy in a way that nothing else could.  Eventually, it would have made possible a homeopathic hospital, something we desperately need. If homeopathy were institutionalized, it would help humanize the culture of medicine, which is spiraling into greed and reductionism. Official recognition of homeopathy would allow grant money to flow for research and it would offer protection to homeopaths and homeopathic pharmacies which have lately been under attack.
Homeopathy is the enlightened future of medicine. It follows inevitably from the newest research in physics and medicine.  If you consider its ability to cure chronic disease, to treat viral infections, to address epidemics, to cure without side effects and its low cost, it is the obvious and rational choice. Every effort each of us makes, takes us closer to the goal of… Homeopathy for everyone.

Taken to Court: Moving the Goalposts on Homeopathy

Taken to Court: Moving the goalposts on homeopathy

On December 22, in a case initiated by the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) in the Federal Court of Australia, a regulatory judgement was handed down that Homeopathy Plus Australia Pty Ltd and I, Fran Sheffield, violated Australian Consumer Law with statements about the whooping cough vaccine and homeopathy.

What happened?

We were taken to court by the ACCC because I wrote, and the Homeopathy Plus website published, three articles that discussed the whooping cough epidemic affecting Australia at that time, the effectiveness or lack thereof of the whooping cough vaccine, and homeopathic alternatives for its treatment and prevention.

VACCINE PETITION: Allow Dr Sherri Tenpenny to visit and speak in Australia

“Freedom of expression is the cornerstone of a free society."

So said Australian Prime Minister, Tony Abbott, in the wake of the recent French Charlie Hebdo atrocity.

While we in no way wish to detract from the seriousness of that event, we are struck by the truth of Tony Abbott's statement for the unfolding hysteria surrounding the coming visit of Dr Sherri Tenpenny.

Dr Sherri Tenpenny, a respected US researcher, is scheduled to speak at a series of seminars in Australia. She will be discussing validated CDC and related research on the benefits, risks, and effects of vaccines - information vital for families wanting to make informed decisions in this area; information now under threat from the activities of a small political lobby group.

This group, under the guise of public health advocacy, has fed inflammatory and negative information to national and international media about Dr Tenpenny’s visit. They have incited intolerance toward her via social media, applied pressure to venues - with some success - to cancel venue seminar bookings, harrassed the seminar coordinator, issued death threats, and now demand that the Australian Government withdraws her visa to stop her coming.

Why is Australia so terrified of this brilliant scientific researcher?

NaturalNews) Australia's vaccine zealots are the most rabid extremist wing of the vaccine medical mafia, and they've engaged in tactics like issuing death threats to vaccine educators to try to silence them. Now, they're trying to get the Australian government to ban the travel visa of Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, a pro-informed-consent educator who has conducted more research into vaccine adverse effects and safety risks than almost anyone else speaking out today

Dr. Medha Durge relates her experiences in Liberia during the Ebola outbreak.

This is a two page interview by Alan V. Schmukler, Editor of Hpathy Ezine.

On Oct 17 Dr. Medha Durge arrived in Liberia along with homeopaths Ortrud Lindemann, from Germany and Richard Hiltner from the U.S.  She was there to assess the situation and if possible explore the use of homeopathy for the Ebola epidemic. She chats with us about her experience there. She has been practicing classical homeopathy for the last 22yrs, after having trained under the renowned Drs. ML Dhawale, Kasad, Anil Bhatia and Apte. Dr. Durge worked for many years with the Institute of Clinical Research and is currently a member of LMHI, RCCM (UK), CHAIN, and the Maharashtra Council of Homeopathy.

AS:  Did you have cooperation from the government or from non- governmental agencies like the WHO?  Did any agency help or hinder your work?

MD:  Initially their ministers did not know much about homeopathy. However they cooperated and were keen on it. They were just glad that doctors had come to help them. The WHO had come up with a memorandom stating that they supported homeopathy and had not underpinned homeopathy in their protocol.

Breast Cancer Survivor Anna Buckley Meets Prince Charles to Discuss CAM Care

25th December 2014

A CANCER survivor campaigning for better patient care in Yorkshire has met the Prince of Wales to discuss her cause.

Anna Buckley, 41, met Prince Charles as part of her work with the holistic cancer charity Penny Brohn.

Mrs Buckley believes complementary medicines can greatly improve a cancer patient's chance of survival and their quality of life.

She said: "Cancer treatments can take a huge toll on the body and it's vital that patients have the right support to understand their options.

"I understood the consequences of my treatment and, alongside longer-term medical treatments, I also supported my wellbeing with good nutrition, exercise, supplements, acupuncture, homeopathy, detoxification, yoga, meditation and visualisation techniques."

The NHS is increasingly using complementary treatments to help cancer patients.

Australian court to penalize homeopaths for claiming vaccine alternative

Please support Homeopathy Plus in this difficult case.

22nd December 2014

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has convinced a court that a company that offers homeopathic remedies was "misleading and deceptive" when it tried to argue that said remedies provide a viable alternative to the pertussis vaccine.
